Sean Thackrey Orion Syrah 2006/2008
Orion is a riveting example of Syrah and surely one of the finest produced anywhere in the world. Sean Thackrey’s methods are not what one would describe as textbook, production is tiny and he manages to produce spell-binding wines of great intensity and harmony. With a nose of crushed rock, black fruit and pepper, it will drink well in its youth and keep for fifteen years.
